Then as per the inspector decision, final completion certificate will be provided. Then the client can operate their business.

  • Dubai Municipality Inspections

It goes without saying that the Dubai municipality, being one of the most important government units in the city, is at the center of everything that goes on in Dubai. Dubai Municipality plays a significant role in the working life of a concerned engineer since permits and compliance information are handled by the municipality. It is important to note here that along with the department of business services, there is a separate department of government services, which ensures that permits and certifications are represented uniformly throughout the Emirates. It is worth mentioning that the Dubai building codes are well established and codified, so the construction company or its contractors are not allowed to deviate from or alter the Dubai building codes, which are law in the country.

Over the past couple of years, the certification process in Dubai has been simplified to make it easier for the architects and construction companies to do business in the city. The municipality inspector will need additional information and a correlation with the original construction permit/planning permissions, and his primary focus will be to ensure that the building’s fabric is in compliance with the approvals granted by the government before construction takes place, as well as ensuring that it is in compliance with the original construction permit/planning permission. Dubai Civil Defence are able to issue a completion certificate before the actual project is completed because Civil Defence is concerned with electrical schematics and fire suppression systems. These projects fall into MEP (mechanical-electrical and plumbing), which will have been completed long before the entire project is complete. Although you will need copies of the original building permit, NOCs from utility companies, and power supplier certificates.

•       Check that the building and work areas are adequately illuminated; make sure the light fittings are in good

•       Ensure that all fire sprinklers are free of obstructions, such as obstructions, paint, and debris, which could
•       obstruct water flow.
•       In false ceilings and walls, fire alarm systems should be mounted and functional.
•       Check extraction fans and makeup fans for appropriate airflow, and make sure they are running according to
•       specifications.
•       All security and exit doors should be installed prior to inspection.
•       No storage should be located in any stall areas and should be removed.
